Love turtles? Enjoy the great outdoors? Come meet a Muskoka turtle researcher and help capture and process turtles for science with the Saving Turtles at Risk Today (START) Project!
Participants are encouraged to come prepared to get in the water to capture turtles. Bring water shoes, quick-dry clothes, hat, sunscreen, net, etc. Then help our trained field technicians collect data on each turtle.
Not interested in getting wet? Learn all about our 6 native Muskoka turtles with Scales Nature Park at their live turtle display. Touching and holding is encouraged!
Want some cool turtle swag? Visit the Canadian Wildlife Federation booth to talk all things turtle and collect your 'I brake for turtles' car decal!
Questions about your watershed? Muskoka Watershed Council will be onsite to answer all your questions!
Bring a picnic lunch to finish off your morning at the beautiful Cranberry Marsh.
